Third Thursdays is a monthly speaker series hidden in a social event brought to you by the MNLeg Coalition - a group of citizen activist organizations working together to take action on issues and elections focused on the state level. The coalition is made up of political resistance groups that started after the 2016 election. The coalition member organizations take turns hosting the monthly events focused the Minnesota Legislature through the lens of issues advocacy.

Third Thursdays will be held on the third Thursday of each month. The event will be a chance for progressive-values loving community members to come together, socialize, strategize, learn, and recharge to continue the good fight for justice and equality in Minnesota. They are social events with an educational focus on the Minnesota Legislature through the lens of issues advocacy.
Each event will be hosted by a different coalition partner organization focused on a particular topic. Hear from speakers, such as MN Legislators, other political figures, experts from advocacy groups, political organizers. We will focus on how to act local to effect change on big issues - providing education on legislative activity, training to be an advocate and give opportunities to take action along with a healthy dose of fun and community building!
Events take place the Third Thursday of every month - usually from 6-8pm in rotating venues - in the metro area that provide the opportunity for socializing and fun along
